I'm pretty sure it's possible to get to level 3 without doing any fights-but there are easier fights to gain xps like the turtles on the north beach (which I totally missed on my first playthrough), or the skeleton that you can dig up in the north-ish area if you have a lizard or a shovel. I recommend waiting till level 3, or avoiding the fight entirely by cooperating with Griff and ratting out the thief. This is a game where you can and will find things that are too hard, and you should go try something else. You want to level up by trying to do as much exploration/noncombat quests as possible. The beginning of the game is the hardest part, and not just because you are still learning the mechanics. Note:Both cheese methods are easy ways to kill Griff and his gang, but will most likely get the Elf prisoner killed unless you're really careful woth the placement. That instakills any non-undead creature so just place it in Griff's kitchen and destroy it. >Cheese method #2: Before escaping the lady vengeance you can take a deathfog barrel with you. Use Ifan to ignite the barrels and they should die from the explosions + fire damage. You can place them one by one (I think?) or put them all in a chest, that you can break to release all the barrels at once. >Alternative cheese method: Go around the map and collect barrels (Oil and poison). >If you did the teleporter croc quest and have the gloves you can keep the bigger threats away from your party. Also, he'll have a hard time against your whole party since he lacks AoE so it's better to leave him until the end. Griff is a rogue so he's bursty and will likely take a turn off due to adrenaline. >In my run i focused on the low armor rogue and the mages first. >Before the fight speak with Butter and she'll help you during the fight. Her rain also reveals invisible enemies, so it's useful against Griff's chameleon cloak. >Get ifan on high ground and have Lohse focus on CC (Hail strike + rain). >You should be level 3 for this fight unless it's not tactician. Just make sure you save Stingtail from Silence so he doesn't actually get assassinated for stealing the drudnae filled orange from Griff.Looking for a Group to play with? Try this thread || Discussion Overview Or, you can save Amyro, leave the Joy, and find Drudnae out in the marshes and give it to Stingtail to progress Red Prince's story that way. This allows you to progress Red Prince's story and finish the Imprisoned Elf for one of the many ways out of Fort Joy. Then you can give it to Griff and free Amyro and then either let Silence kill Stingtail or not.įor some reason the NPC Red Prince doesn't make Stingtail consume that use of Drudnae so it allows you to finish both, while using Red Prince as your main character doesn't. Then talk to Stingtail with your main character afterwords and badger him about the stolen items from Griff and convince him to give you the Drudnae filled orange. Allow him to do so and he will dream with Stingtail. Get the Imprisoned Elf quest and recruit Red Prince. The moment you go to Stingtail after recruiting Red Prince he will ask that you let him talk to Stingtail. Is your main character Red Prince? Because if he isn't there is odd exploit/workaround that always works for me.
